Volunteer Board Members Wanted

Currently, Crowchild Skating Club has vacancies on its Board of Directors.  We are seeking applicants with a background in board leadership and a strategic outlook to support the Club’s growth strategy.  The Board of Directors endeavors to have balanced community perspectives and a complementary mixture of knowledge, skills and experience.  We would especially encourage applications from interested persons with experience with sports clubs, board positions, finance, legal, IT or human resources.  We are seeking individuals who possess an understanding of governance; an ability to think strategically and to work as part of a team.  Honesty and integrity are a must.   Prospective board members would be able to commit to monthly board meetings held on the third Tuesday of each month 7:00-9:00pm, Sept 2019-June 2020.

About us:

The CSC has been in operations for 30 years and serves many communities in the NW part of Calgary.  The Club is in the process of transition as we implement new Skate Canada programs and establish the Club as a Society.

The Crowchild Skating Club operates out of the Crowchild Twin Arena in NW Calgary.  We offer a full range of programs including CanSkate, STARSkate, Adult/Teen CanSkate and competitive figure skating.  Our skating season runs September to April on 10.75 hours of ice time per week.  In partnership, we also offer spring and summer camps in June and July.
